 | My first aid qualification is running out soon so i was going to try and arrange one with Leam Boat Centre (the one Noj did- sounds really good for kayaking). It includes classroom bits as well as really practical, water/ kayak- based stuff. Would probably cost about £45 (really cheap for a first aid course as it is- other places cost £70+ for the same thing) and you should be able to claim 50% of that back from Warwick Sport. Course includes:
- Incident management
- ABC of Resuscitation
- Effects of Heat and Cold
- Hypothermia
- Shock
- Wounds and Bleeding
- Fractures
- Heart Attack
Dates can pretty much be fitted around people who want to do it (depending on Leam Boat Centre). Anyone interested? |

 | Hmm, I would defnitely like to do a decent first aid course. And I do live in Leamington. It sounds like fate (or some other nonsense). On the other hand, I think Greg mentioned some other outdoor first aid course which sounded pretty comprehensive. |

 | if it's the Merlin one Greg's talking about i don't think it's happening this term (though it was brilliant). |

 | ...cheers Greg (remember the BCU one involves kayaking though ;-) ) anyway lets not turn this into a competition, i'm sure both courses are great but i don't have a spare weekend to give up both days for a first aid course. i'll need to know definite numbers soon, will post more info when i know more. |
