 | Sarah: i don't know, haven't been told anything except what's on this forum. Ask Greg. Stephen: If you don't go to polo when you're next near the Union could you give it in to the reception in Union North? Just say it's for me and they'll put it in my pigeon hole. Thanks :-) Ooh forgot to say, CHEQUES SHOULD BE PAYABLE TO M BISHOP. |

| Warwick Sport is running a FREE Outdoors Activities first aid course on the second weekend of Term three (after Easter). The weekend covers loads of stuff and will give you a qualification recognised by many instructor organisations throughout the UK. It is really useful to have for the club and yourself, and also means you can work as a first aid for Warwick sport on matches held at the university. The dates are Saturday 3rd to Sunday 4th May 2008 and will probably be held on campus. For more information and booking please contact Gemma Morris in the Warwick sport office. Spaces may be limited and so priority will go to those who are active club members and are often on trips.
Enjoy

It'll cost £45 plus £5 for the BCU BUT if we get 6 people together and paid up then Leam Boat Centre will pay the £5 fee for us. You will also almost certainly be able to get half of that back from Warwick Sport, so it should only cost you £23.50 (they pay at least 20% and up to 50%). Will count for any coaching awards etc. you want to do. |
This is canoe specific whereas the outdoor (the one greg is shamelessly plugging) isn't, however the outdoor one is superb (16hours- two full days) and as such, as greg says spaces are very limited (it seemed only two or three per club in previous years...) Last year Noj couldn't get on which was a bit of a shitter for his coaching qualifications, it would suck to miss out completely on the premise of the this one being free, and not getting on it! 23 quid is stupidly cheap for a first aid course! (a small price to pay for piece of mind?)
I'll be on the BCU one :) (though I already have the outdoor one under my belt...)
