Time for a few home truths. The Rogue Squadron falg was made for the October 06 ULU tournament, where it could be seen flying high above the london skyline (well, strapped to the top of the builders' fence) for 24 hours straight. It was such a "Rogue" that even while unprotected overnight, no-one dared steal it. It was then retrieved (after we came first and second in the polo competitions), kept, stored, maintained and brought out again for the 2007 BUSAs. Not sure if this is a personal attack, Jon: Jon wrote: While my loss of the colours was indeed a terrible embarrassment for both myself and the club in general (it had been touched by the president's own hand!) I feel it is not nearly as shameful as simply mislaying a flag, away from the field (or lake or canal basin) of battle, so where is the "rogue squadron" flag?
Failing that I'll make amends to the club by either volunteering to make the new flag, or stealing an Imperial Eagle from another university. | , but it was never "mislaid". I still have the Rogue Squadron flag. However it has borne the brunt of much use (primarily because it was not stolen on its first morning of use, and hence had plenty of opportunity to prove its true worth), and is unfortunatley now in a state of disrepair. The pole, on the other hand, was stored safely away in the pool-side cupboard after the 2007 BUSAs for future use; if it has been lost since then, I'm afraid I cannot take further responsibility. Might I add that a huge pole - which can be firmly anchored, removed and re-anchored elsewhere on a regular basis - is by far the most important aspect. Just an idea.. | NEVER draw a "Primary School" style picture, on such am important piece of kit! It is paramount that an image of at least equally high standard as the previous versions is used! Always strive for improvement! Wilkinson sells a perfectly adequate pillow case for a measely 99 pence. Webbo should still have the transfer sheets; if not these are also not expensive. |
