Hi Folks
we have a couple of places left on the following courses:

UKCC Level 1 Coach
£195
March 15th and 16th, and April 5th and 6th - only a few places left!
June 21st, 22nd, 28th and 29th  - ** this is a change of date from previous mailing**

We have just finished the first of these courses to run at LBC, and it has turned out to be a great course - and most importantly, it's turning out great coaches. Definitely an improvement on the old BCU level 2 training!
This 4 day course covers training and assessment at Level 1. Pre-requisites are the new 2* (or old 2* in both canoe and kayak), and CST. (if you need these get in touch - we can help!)

First aid for paddlers
March 1st
£45 (plus BCU fee of £5 members, £7 non-members)
This 8 hour BCU aquatic first aid course is fantastic for anyone that coaches, or takes responsibility for others when out on the water. It covers all the basic first aid scenarios, but with a bias towards dealing with them whilst paddling. This course is run by the inimitable Kevin, who not only is an incredibly good first aid instructor, but also an experienced kayak coach - the perfect combination. This first aid course definitely won't be boring! There will be a little bit of boat based work at the end - so bring your paddling kit  (we will provide boats).

2* canoeing for kayakers
March 1st, March 9th, (possibly) March 16th
10 till 4.30.
£45
A 1 day intensive course for experienced (2* minimum) kayakers that are in need of some canoe skills and a new 2*!

regards to you all

AvatarRob, Webbo, Steve:
For those going to the first aid course, meet at Leam Boat Centre at 9am. It finishes at 5.30pm. Bring pen & paper to take notes if you want (though there is a comprehensive hand out), the rest of the money (if you haven't paid it all yet), and paddling kit to practise different rescue techniques at end of day.
I'll be getting the bus some time between 8 and 8.30 if anyone else is going from campus.
