With Scotland tour approaching, I don't like to go away without the next trip planned, so for those of you that feel the same I've had a thought. I will be sad to leave this mighty club come the summer but would like to go out with a bang, so I propose a 2 week trip to the Coruh in Turkey as soon as term ends for the Summer. The trip will be around the class III mark with a few IV thrown in, not overly commiting so will be able to get around such nasties! The brief plan would be fly easyjet to Istanbul, get the overnight bus to the river, camp and such. It would be pretty basic and more like an expedition unlike last years Slovenia trip but there is a real campsite, shops and bars. There is also the chance of multi-day paddling if that interests anyone. The cost of the trip is going to be around the £600 mark for everything, and is open to most people that have done a bit of paddling and happy on class III+ in the UK and numbers would be 8, Nicky & I being 2 already. Best plan is to have a think about it and have a chat to me, image below I believe is one of the harder rapids we would encounter.
