AvatarOn Day 1 of my Level 1 (in Cambs), and the centre manager got an interesting email. If anybody has bought a Yak Throwline from May 2009 onwards, you need to check it!!

The gist of the story is that when they ran out of rope on a roll, the people manufacturing the throwlines just melted the the last 5m or so onto the next roll, so not to waste rope. Obviously, not great under tension!!!

If anybody has got a new throwline, I'm sure its worth the 5 minute check even if in the 3000 or so that have been checked, only 4 were faulty. Shout if you want a copy of the email.
