 | ok by my guessing me, PGL, nigel, madi, snowman and robb all want to do the advanced one, assuming history of scotland course is enough for most of us, and that just general rope fetish and experience is enough for PGL (though i don't think you'll get away with it).thats 2 cars if matt can take 3 in his or hire a van, but its not very cost effective. I'm happy to drive anyway and if it rains might stay an extra day to do a bit of paddling.

 | Scarf - Is there an official pre-requisite for the AWWSR? I've had a look at the syllabus for WWSR and am happy with it all. I haven't done the Scotland safety course and have chosen not to as from talking to people I'm happy I know most of the stuff. Are you happy for me to do AWWSR? If not I'd rather not waste the money doing WWSR. As Einstein mentioned I have a "rope fetish". I'm more than happy with setting up mechanical advantage systems and know all the knots etc. needed. Franco Ferrero is one of my favourite bed time reads!!
