Having seen just how amasing scotland is in Nigels video, anyone fancy going up for the Wet West paddle fest? Dam releases on saturday and sunday for the garry and Morriston mean there is some garranteed water!

I think it's 18th/19th September

AvatarI'd really like to, but I was planning to move some stuff in that weekend.

Reckon I'd have time to move loads of stuff in on the friday, then go on about midday?

AvatarI've moved my plans so I'm not moving in that weekend. I could drive, but my car is ludicrously thirsty, so if anyone has a slightly more efficient car that would be better.

AvatarI'm potentially interested. Have car but is a 2L estate so also extremely thirsty (but has roofbars so could take 4 people).

AvatarEmpty mine does about 30mpg at best, so with boats it's going to be craptacular.

Avatarif you're taking 4 people it wont work out that expensive, so strap on a pair and drive.

Surely the kayaker's vehicle of choice?

Boats and roofracks knock about 10% off the fuel efficiency of my car, if I stay between about 60-70 on the motorway.  Above 70 things get a bit expensive with boats.  Split four ways it shouldn't be too bad.

Wish I could join you guys but I've got plans that weekend, have fun!

AvatarCalm down dear.
Want to make it a longer weekend? Potential plan: Leave thursday with screamer driving up to mine, leaving car, I drive up to warwick, pick up madi and mofo, drive to scotland, do a river friday, WWPF sat and sunday, and monday blitz the etive in the morning and home that night.
Up for it?
