 | Hey, After Darryll showed us his Peli Case first aid kit, a load of us said we wanted one...

They retail around £30 - £37 (RRP £45), but if enough of us buy one, they might give us a discount. If you want one, post below and I'll email them and see what I can do. They do 4 colours, so if you have a preference, say so, but it might be a bit harder to get a discount for random colours - I will be going for orange if possible...

 | Just thought I would add my experience of this. I have been using a pelicase for first aid kits and it has began to piss me off, it is a very heavy box that is not the right shape to fit in the back of most kayaks, it also means that you cant easily use your first aid kit for hiking/biking or any other sports. I reckon a much better option is G'S BDH which is lighter and fits better. Just my opinion!

| I've seen people use the BDH cases, but the Peli cases seem like they are easy to find things in when you need it.

They seem cheaper as well but harder to find stuff in. Do you know what size one G has and whether anyone you know has had problems with them leaking (they seem very cheap, or alternatively Peli cases seem very expensive).

I've got a 1L and 3L that my dad got from work (BDH make chemicals and ship their stuff in them to contain any breakages in transit). I've never had any problems with mine.
Peli cases are so expensive because they are much tougher and are used by professional photographers etc. to keep all their gear safe. BDHs are fine for a 1st aid kit.

 | I know at First Aid I said I'd be up for getting a Peli Case, but given what Strongers and Piggles have said, I think I'll probably go for one of the BDHs.
That said, if you can get the kind of price that Darryl was talking about (~£25), then I'd be up for getting a 1150 Peli in Orange, Yellow, or whatever colour was available (price dependent).

 | I think he said he bought 10. Can you really not get your pelicase in the back of your boat? I can get a 1200 in the back of my small nomad with only a little shunting.

| You can easily fit them in when you are going on a short trip but not when you are packing lots of stuff. It is easier to find stuff but also easier for stuff to get wet/fall out....On my five star the emphasis was on simplicity. Why take shears when you have a river knife that could easily cut through a cag.
