 | Here is the situation, it is saturday night, you have just finished a polo tournament and are immensely satisfied yet tired and its approaching midnight, there is one last job to do.... put the boats away. So there you are, on your way to hand a boat up to people on the balcony, whilst you are walking you come across the lifeguards seat, there is a wierd gadget with a huge red button, do you:
A: continue putting the boats away so everbody gets home early and sleeps well and dreams of beating birmingham old gits?
B: Your curiosity overcomes you, you press the BIG red (the colour of distress) button?
C: Think, thats intersting Ill ask someone what it does?
If you chose B, the pool alarm has gone off, do you:
A: go oh shit and walk home leaving others to deal with the situation, people who want to go home, and also antagonize security (Dave has just made a cup of tea its the final of ball room dancing and Brucy is about to say who won)?
B: Use your initiative and go, shit my problem Ill call security and sort it out?
If you chose B then A your name is Wen |

| Actually security were very nice about it when I spoke to them, they didn't seem too interested. |

 | Who'd be so stupid as to piss security off... Still they paid by whacking off through their nose and then the resulting bleeding (WHY?) |

 | I dont think we can be too harsh on the boy - he's obvisouly learning: on any other day, Wen would have asked not only what it was, followed by who put it there, when, why and how, but also he would have continued with how long it was going to be there, why it would be removed, how and finally by whom. He would then have asked you to repeat it. That might indeed have taken longer than pressing it and discovering the answers with the more "practical" approach. |
