A key piece of information is missing from this post, The Cost is £20, of which at least 1/4 to a 1/2 will be claimed backed from Warwick Sport. This course is aimed mainly at Freshers, to give them a better understanding of river safety.

"You should be of BCU 2 star standard to attend the course but will be unable recieve this award unless you have said award" Does that mean I won't get any kind of credit for actually doing it? Just for my own benefit...?

You should have a 2 star skill base to attend the course, but to actually get the BCU CST you must have your 2 star. This means that you don't need to be interested in ticking the right boxes to learn safety skills on this course, website is unclear and is on my list of things to change!

So is it worthwhile for me to do it or just complete it in a years time say when I will have a 2 star? Is the 2 star skill base just being able to do the T-rescues etc?
