 | Allright guys, I hope those that attended the rodeo are recovering from a weekend of legendary liver abuse. Here are the final details for elections on Thursday
WHEN: Thursday 13 March
WHERE: Robins well (downstairs)
What time: Lemmings arrive there by 8.00pm
Campus people: 19.30 in Cholo getting 19.40 bus so dont be late
What to bring: if you are standing for elections bring a poem slash song (see Bens post for more details)
Others bring whatever you like, if you are not running but you want to provide entertainement DO IT! the more fun the merrier, there will hopefully be a dvd player if anyone has any interesting films from the year
There may also be some awards as we look back at a wicked two terms
other info: when we get there can you order your food quickly so we can eat all arround the same time!

| I think technically, you are allowed to run for anything except Treasurer, as long as you join Warwicksport and the club before handover in term 3. :) You still can't vote though.
I'll put you down for it - remember your joke/poem/song. |

| In our club constitution (4.1 & 4.2), it doesn't say anything about standing.
Ali wouldn't "hold office" until handover, so if Ali is elected and joins before handover, it all works?
Unless you "hold office" as soon as you're elected - then it wouldn't work.
I agree though, you shouldn't be able to stand if you're not a member, so maybe we should change it for next year.
I couldn't find any rules about it on the union website.
Ali - you can still tell a joke/sing a song if you like :)

| I feel a shout of "fun police" coming so i apologise now...
It's Union/ Warwick Sport rules (though it'll probably take me an hour to find them on the websites!) that they can't be elected if they're not a Warwick student (even if they are a member). |

And quickly, before the shouts of "fun police" start to resonate in my ears, if you are a member of polo and want to vote in canoe elections you need to join the club by Thursday morning, when I will be printing off a list. |
