Does anybody want to do the Outdoor Activities First Aid Course? It's really good, respected by companies etc and counts if you want to do any coaching awards. It's running from 9am- 5.30pm this Saturday and Sunday, and is FREE. It's run by a guy who is as unlike st john's ambulance people a you could get.
Anyway, we have ONE SPARE PLACE for it due ot people dropping out. Please text me NOW (07929 145308) if you want the place, first come first served.

Avatardo these run throughout the year, or just conveniently at the only time that many students actually do work?

Was an AMAZING course, me and Ralph both really enjoyed it!! Makes first aid much more applicable for the activites which we take part in! Much better than the other courses which I have attended!

Thanks Kate for organising:)

AvatarMust agree with Hayden, the course was top quality - if you get the chance to do it (i think there is another one coming up soon) take to opportunity. You will learn SO much more than on a st johns ambulance course (even how to use a defibrolator)

Thanks Kate - awesome course

Just to fill you in
It's run by warwick sport twice a year normally. Back in the day (my first yr) it cost £65 but warwick sport now pay for it for 'high risk clubs' (ie us)
We can only get 2 places per course paid for, although back on the nov course i did manage to convince mike to give us extra places when other clubs didn't take them up...

Worth doing.

AvatarI cant see any info on the warwicksport site about when the next one is. was it mentioned at all during the weekend?

Not that there was anything that could have been done to avoid the situation, but given more than half an hour's notice on saturday morning I would have filled the vacancy. next time... i hope

it won't be circulated until sept/oct

polo isn't classed as 'high risk' but you guys might be able to get a place at the time - Mike Smith'll be your man.
